Last winter it was very much about the beanie, summer holidays always require a straw hat, and this winter I'm feeling the fedora. I'm loving the vintage twist and spice it gives to a simple outfit!
The real question is though: which hat do you go for - the trusted beanie or the stylish fedora?
BEANIES
Beanies are always a good back up. Whether you're having a bad hair day and can't be bothered, covering up roots that you need to get redone, or wanting to add a bit of colour and fun to an outfit, they are always a good friend to have around. Cara Delevingne always manages to pull off this effortless look and always looks amazing! She is definitely the queen of beanies, whilst Rita Ora is a close runner up. Jessica Alba, Shenae Grimes, Michelle Keegan, Taylor Swift and Nicole Richie are also big fans of the hat - to name a few!

FEDORAS
I used to think these were for dressing up nice in the evening but it turns out they can be for anytime! They can add style to a casual daytime outfit or add class to a "drinks with the girls" outfit. I love the edge this hat gives to a tailored outfit, keeping in tone with the popular androgynous look of the winter. Kate Moss, Elizabeth Olsen, Millie Mackintosh, Miranda Kerr, Mollie King and Jameela Jamil all style the fedora well. Taking tips from these celebrities ensures you can't go wrong! I especially love Millie's hat and bag match and Mollie King's statement trouser and simple top half look.
