FIRST LOOK: AW13 Topshop Collection

The one place on the high street that will never disappoint is Topshop.

It is the first point of call when in need of new shoes, a whole outfit or just inspiration. We all have a friend in Topshop!

The new autumn/winter collection will not let you down!

The collection brings a mixture of lace, leather and fur with a 90's themed, grunge-inspired twist. Checks, monochrome, quilting and pony skin really bring this collection to life, all of which were very present in the fall 2013 catwalk shows.

My favourite pieces from the collection are shown below

I particularly love the grunge aspect of this outfit. The black lace and heavy make up really playing up the floral shirt toning down the femininity of the outfit, whilst keeping it up to date and sassy

This patent leather coat is amazing! I love the rustic colour as it gives any outfit an instant update

I love the winter pastel colour palette used here. With the overall feel of the collection being grunge, it makes for a lovely and girly contrast that is bang on trend!

Checks are a must! I love the red checks on the jacket, mixed with the leather sleeves, this immediately screams attitude and adds edge to any outfit. I'm already loving the boyfriend-jeans-rolled-up-to-flash-ankle trend, so a perfect update for autumn/winter is adding some check print patches - why not do it yourself to an already existing pair!

I will be purchasing this coat asap. I love the tactile look, with the minimal colourblocking and subtle leather insert, it is a fashion must have, ideal for any occasion on a cold winter's day/night! 

I love wrap skirts. Throughout spring/summer they were a big hit, so to see them updated in textures and darker colours for autumn/winter is great! I also love this loose, velvet crop - keeping in tone with the grunge feel

I had to include this as a favourite as I have already spied this skirt! I love midi skirts and I love the sheer and solid trend, so combined together is perfect! I will be purchasing this skirt imminently

It's good to see trainers are still a big hit - I love that they have come full circle from the 90's, meaning that we can be comfortable and stylish every day! I love the combination of these trainers with the leather trousers and fitted, monochrome jumper, adding a more luxe and modern feel
